Courtyard
2022-2023 Planting Design
The CLES Courtyard is located between the building & only accessible from within the school. Our goal with this space is to make it a multi-functional outdoor learning space for the students & staff.
Through support from the PTO & the CLES student Clean Earth Club, we have been able to clean up the weeds & begin work toward achieving this goal.

A CLES parent, and business owner, Jason Leong, for his generous donation that allowed us to purchase 3 raised garden beds, hoses & other tools.

Mrs. Siewart recently donated Artie the Scarecrow to the courtyard. Make sure to come by and say hi!
Winter Edible Garden
This fall and winter, we are going to be growing Broccoli & Collard Greens. Our herb garden will also host cool tolerant sage, parsley, oregano & basil.
How Can I Help?
The courtyard takes extra love & care to maintain. Rhiannon Apple, PTO president-elect, is out in the courtyard 2 days a week from 7:30am-8:00am watering and lightly weeding. If you would like to join, please email and let her know.
We also have periodic work days, where we come in on the weekend to do big projects that make too much noise durning the school day. Our next project is going to be removing large overgrown bushes next to the raised garden beds. If you are interested in being included in emails about these days you can email info@clespto.org.
